Perkuburan Ismaili England


Warga Ismaili England punya lot perkuburan mereka sendiri. Selain perkuburan Ismaili England juga ada perkuburan Ahmadiya, perkuburan Jamaat, perkuburan Turkish dan Turkish Cypriot dan banyak kelompok bangsa yang berbagai lagi.

Established in 1984, the Ismaili burial ground is, like the Bagh-e-Zehra, located in the northern, previously consecrated section, and it sits on a plot previously allocated for the parish of St. Margaret & St. John Westminster. With a total of 1832 burials since 1984 – and in recent years an annual average of 80 burials – this is easily the biggest minority burial ground in Brookwood Cemetery.

Bila membaca sejarah Abbasid khususnya pada era awal, era Harun Al-Rashid dan sebelumnya juga, kita akan jumpa mengenai Barmakid. Keluarga Barmakid dikata berasal dari Parsi dan dulunya pernah menganut agama Buddha. Pertama memeluk Islam kalangan keluarga Barmakid adalah Khalid ibn Barmakid (d.782). Beliau memeluk Islam sekitar tahun 720an. Keluarga Barmakid pernah menjadi pembesar Abbasid yang mendapat kepercayaan istana Abbasid Harun Al-Rashid.
