Tunnel Deformation Measuring Using TLS (MSc Queen's Uni, 2012)


A MSc thesis "Development of a new methodology for measuring deformation in tunnels and shafts with terrestrial laser scanning (Lidar) using elliptical fitting algorithms". The thesis was submitted by Dani Delaloye at Queen's University,Kingston, Ontario in 2012. It is quite rare to see someone working in deformation monitoring at Queen's. Great achievement !

Bila membaca sejarah Abbasid khususnya pada era awal, era Harun Al-Rashid dan sebelumnya juga, kita akan jumpa mengenai Barmakid. Keluarga Barmakid dikata berasal dari Parsi dan dulunya pernah menganut agama Buddha. Pertama memeluk Islam kalangan keluarga Barmakid adalah Khalid ibn Barmakid (d.782). Beliau memeluk Islam sekitar tahun 720an. Keluarga Barmakid pernah menjadi pembesar Abbasid yang mendapat kepercayaan istana Abbasid Harun Al-Rashid. Menurut Britannica, Barmakid adalah - link ; Barmakids , priestly  family  of Iranian origin, from the city of  Balkh  in Khorāsān, who achieved prominence in the 8th century as scribes and viziers to the early  Abbāsid  caliphs.
