I was fortunate enough able to participate in sailing mission on board of Jabatan Laut's vessel MV Pedoman. It sails from Tg Pelepas to Port Kelang - the journey started at 12.30pm and reached Port Kelang the next morning around 9.30 am.  Regretfully not much effort on my part. Others were doing their bit. Collecting data, supervising and attending to briefing sessions. Certainly bad impression were left there. MV Pedoman - - - - -

Test 2 for deformation survey was held today. The test covers lecture topics up to pillar stability analysis. All students were there and the test run for an hour. Girls taking deformation survey - three of them not in photograph - - - - -

The lecture today covers on topic of modelling the deformation. This topic was supposed to be lectured last week but was cancelled (or postponed) due to aircond problem at BK6. What was presented today mainly dealt with the implementation of modelling the deformation. Particular emphasis was given on single point movement model since it was the easiest to do. - - - - -

Attending weekly Qur'anic session today at GIS II Lab. Normally the session takes place at Seminar Room but it was occupied for another event. The event was Hari Lads organized by Lads Club. - - - - -

IAG 142 is the proceedings of the VIII Hotine-Marussi Symposium on Mathematical Geodesy. The symposium was held in Rome in June 2013. It was took place at the Faculty of Engineering U of Rome "La Sapienza".  IAG 142 was edited by Nico Sneeuw (Stuttgart), Pavel Novak  (U of Western Bohemia), Mattia Crespi (U of Rome "La Sapienza") and Fernando Sanso (Politecnico de Milano). There is supposed to be lecture today at BK 6. The students came albeit not all and I were there too. Unfortunately the aircond at BK 6 was not functioning. It was hot even with window opened. We have no choice ... the class cancelled. But the lab report which is due for submission today was collected anyway. - - - - -

Kebetulan pada waktu lawatan tersebut LS Wan Aziz sedang dikunjungi oleh pembekal UAV yang dartang memberikan demonstrasi operasi UAV untuk kerja ukur. Sesi demostrasi tersebut turut dihadiri oleh seorang lagi LS - Sr Ali Ahmad mantan Pengarah Ukur Johor. Sr Ali merupakan rakan sekelas Prof Wan waktu pengajian diploma di ITK. Sewaktu sesi rehat program seliaan LI di UTM KL sempat minum teh di kafe tingkat bawah Bangunan MJIIT. Berkesempatan pula minum bersama dua pelajar geomatik yang sedang meneruskan pengajian postgrad di Mjiit. Pelajar postgrad geomatik di Mjiit - - - - -

Sesi ketiga penyeliaan LI melibatkan lima pelajar. Dua pelajar mengikuti LI di Syarikat Abdul Shukor Mahat, dua lagi dengan Syarikat Ramlan di Bangi dan seorang dengan LS Vickneshwaran Ganapathy di Cheras. Pelajar sesi ketiga Pelajar Adib Syakir - - - - -

Lawatan LI Sesi 2 diadakan pada sebelah petang melibatkan dua pelajar. Mereka berdua ini menjalani LI dengan Syarikat Jurukur NZ yang beroperasi di Sungai Buloh. Pelajar penyeliaan sesi 2 - - - - -

Sesi lawatan penyeliaan LI semester ini jatuh pada minggu cuti pertengahan semester (2-9 April). Pada 4 April lawatan penyeliaan diadakan bertempat di PSZ UTM Kampus KL. Sesi pertama lawatan melibatkan empat pelajar yang menjalani LI sekitar KL dan Selangor. Pelajar lawatan sesi pertama Temubual pelajar keempat - - - - -

After just 5 months stint at Fght Dr Dudy made a move to be back to ITB and later to Cyprus for another research contract mission. Dr Dudy was met at departure by G&G staff members and students at Senai Airport. We gathered at Old Town White Coffee for breakfast treat.
