Bacaan mengenai penyerahan Alhambra Granada oleh Boabdil kepada Raja Ferdinand. Sebaik penyerahan Granada Raja Ferdinand, Ratu Isabella dan anak-anak mereka datang berkunjung ke Alhambra. Turut sama dalam rombongan tersebut ialah Kardinal Sepanyol, Pedro Gonzalez de Mendoza.

Dua pembesar lain yang turut bersama adalah seorang bangsawan ternama, Gutierre de Cardenas dan Christopher Columbus.

On January 2, 1492, upon the surrender of the city by Boabdil (Muhammad XII), Pedro González de Mendoza occupied the Alhambra in the name of the Catholic Sovereigns.

Christopher Columbus met with Queen Isabella I and King Ferdinand II at the Alhambra in Granada in 1492 following their victory in the Reconquista. It was there, likely in the Hall of Ambassadors, that the monarchs officially endorsed and commissioned his voyage to the "New World".
