Petikan:
Juan Luis Vives, a 16th-century humanist, criticized Islam in his work "De Veritate Fidei Christianae" (On the Truth of the Christian Faith), particularly in Book IV, which focuses on a dialogue between a Christian and a Muslim. Vives's criticisms stemmed from his Christian perspective and included arguments based on scripture, reason, and even folklore. He questioned the validity of Islam's claims and challenged its teaching. He is also the Spanish confident of a Spanish Queen.
Petikan tentang Humphrey Prideaux - link:
Literature produced by Orientalists reeked of a cynical outlook towards Islam. In his work, The True Nature of Imposture Fully Displayed in the Life of Mahomet, Humphrey Prideaux describes Prophet Muhammad ﷺ as a deceitful person who fabricated tales of receiving divine revelation in order to mask his fits of epilepsy.
