IAG 112 - Geodesy & Physics of the Earth


IAG 112 Symposia on Geodesy and Physics of the Earth is the proceeding of the 7th International Symposium "Geodesy and Physics of the Earth". The symposium was held in Potsdam in October 1992 hosted by newly established GFZ. The proceedings was convened and edited by Horst Montag and Christoph Reigber both of GFZ.

Bila membaca sejarah Abbasid khususnya pada era awal, era Harun Al-Rashid dan sebelumnya juga, kita akan jumpa mengenai Barmakid. Keluarga Barmakid dikata berasal dari Parsi dan dulunya pernah menganut agama Buddha. Pertama memeluk Islam kalangan keluarga Barmakid adalah Khalid ibn Barmakid (d.782). Beliau memeluk Islam sekitar tahun 720an. Keluarga Barmakid pernah menjadi pembesar Abbasid yang mendapat kepercayaan istana Abbasid Harun Al-Rashid. Menurut Britannica, Barmakid adalah - link ; Barmakids , priestly  family  of Iranian origin, from the city of  Balkh  in Khorāsān, who achieved prominence in the 8th century as scribes and viziers to the early  Abbāsid  caliphs.
