Sumbangan Islam Zaman Andalus Madrid
Sebuah artikel mengenai Islam di Andalus diterbit dalam Procedia Social and Behavioral Science 11, 2011. Artikel bertajuk "Education and the Muslim culture in the Medieval Arab Madrid". Artikel antaranya menyebut mengenai penyebaran ilmu oleh tokoh Islam di zaman Islam Andalus ketika period Abdurrahman II dan seterusnya. Antara puak yang aktif mengembang ilmu pada ketika itu adalah Mayrities. Antara tokoh mereka adalah Said Ibn Salim al-Farad (d.986). Berikutnya, Alad al-Rahman ibn Hammad (d.1081 Madrid), pakar kaligrafi dan juga tokoh yang mahir dalam pentadbiran faraid. Umar al-Talamanki (951-1038) pula adalah penduduk asal desa Talamanca, Madrid. Beliau seorang mahir dalam hadith, hal-hal hukum, pakar sejarah dan juga ahli dalam tafsir Qur'an. Antara tokoh yang datang berhijrah pula adalah Ibn Said al-Mayriti dan al-Mayriti Maslama, seorang pakar astronomi.
